Sustainability at Oshkosh

Sustainability goes well beyond environmental responsibility. At Oshkosh Corporation, a century of experience has driven us to think about things more broadly. Here, sustainability is about more than just caring for our planet — it means creating a company, a culture and a world that will thrive far into the future.

Driving sustainable growth

Every day, we’re developing new technologies that advance our products, move industries forward and help everyday heroes build a better world. As a key part of this effort, we focus our innovations on reducing the environmental footprint of our products while improving their safety, quality, efficiency and longevity.

In 2022, we made important progress in our four key sustainability focus areas: it begins with our people, developing innovative products, building communities and operating sustainably.

Our approach

Our goal is simple: improve every day. It’s not just a mission, it’s an obligation to our stakeholders, our planet and ourselves. Our ability to make a difference for customers, suppliers, investors, team members and communities is dependent on our commitment to understanding their perspectives and acting on the insights they provide. We work hard to foster an open dialogue with the people who count on us, gathering the information we need to position ourselves and our stakeholders for the next 100 years of progress.

It begins with our people

When we take care of our team members and continue to put them first – by engaging and supporting them personally and professionally – we help them become their best selves at home and at work. We have seen firsthand that a People First culture makes us a stronger organization and we continue to develop that culture every day.

Developing innovative products

We make products that move the world forward. But the equipment is just one part of the equation. We never stop innovating to deliver products that complement the skills and vision of those who use them, giving users the courage, confidence and power to make a difference in the world around them.
