Make a career of making a difference

From the front lines to the firehouse, the people we serve are driven by a sense of purpose. The people who work here are no different. Oshkosh team members collaborate around the world and around the clock to build something greater than themselves. Because someone, somewhere is counting on us to make a difference.

Your growth plan is unique to you

Helping team members discover their full potential is one of the many ways we make a difference in people’s lives. Amigh, started with Oshkosh as a temporary Machine Operator. Empowered and supported by her leaders, she was able to attend different trainings and helped educate her peers with what she learned to improve their processes. Today, Amigh works as an HR Business Partner Associate with our McNeilus business. Amigh never thought she would be presenting in front of people for her career, but her perseverance was sought out by HR. Her role was unique and was created to fit her skills and the needs of the business. Her growth experiences allowed her to reach a potential she didn’t know existed, and she is not done yet. To continue her growth journey, Amigh used Oshkosh's tuition reimbursement support to obtain her Bachelor's degree. She was the first in her family to accomplish this degree! We are proud to support team members like Amigh who are dedicated to making a difference.

Wellbeing looks a little different for everyone

Senior IT Business Analyst, Scott, has always been physically active and focused on his personal wellbeing. In 2019, he experienced a sudden cardiac arrest (SCA) and was fitted with an Implantable Cardioverter Defibrillator (ICD). He faced a challenging recovery and needed Oshkosh support. We facilitated his ability to work remotely, because of driving restrictions. Utilizing the Oshkosh Accelerate wellbeing program, Scott was able to build up his confidence after his recovery with a goal to be mentally and physically ready to run in a local half marathon just four months after his SCA, which he did! Caring for our team members' physical, emotional and financial wellbeing is important to us, so team members like Scott, can achieve their goals.

Challenge the limits of possibility

For more than a century, our team members have worked to develop technology that changes the way the world moves. With industry-changing inventions under our belt and exciting innovations on the horizon, there’s never been a better time to join our team and be a part of creating what’s next.

Industry-leading innovations

Project Engineer Amanda Miller has been working on industry-leading innovations with Oshkosh since 2014, most recently as the lead controls and electrical engineer for the Oshkosh electric refuse collection vehicle (eRCV). Throughout the project, Amanda was able to grow her systems engineering skills while managing several different groups and aspects of the project. From the streamlined controls, integrating a 15" interactive touchscreen display, to updating the side loader controls to include absolute position sensing, Amanda and her team made sure that all aspects of the vehicle were optimized. The Oshkosh eRCV is a first for North America, creating a new category and bringing advanced technology to the refuse collection industry.
